Clothing & Item Ads on LifeInvader Explained

My RoleplayJune 23, 20262 min read

Clothing and item ads are usually the shortest ads on LifeInvader, but that also means small mistakes stand out more. Here's what separates a quick sale from an ad nobody replies to.

Clothing ads: color and gender first

Lead with the color and, if relevant, whether the piece is for men or women, before the item name. "Selling red Alaska winter jacket for men" scans faster than putting those details at the end.

Trading option changes the whole sentence

If you're open to trading rather than a straight sale, say so explicitly — "selling or trading" — rather than only mentioning it in a follow-up reply. It saves everyone time.

Item ads: up to three items, priced clearly

When bundling multiple items in one ad (most servers cap this around three), decide up front whether you're pricing them together as one total or individually. If pricing individually, use "respectively" after listing all prices in the same order as the items, so there's no ambiguity about which price belongs to which item.

In bulk changes buyer expectations

Marking an item ad as "in bulk" signals you have a large, repeatable quantity available — useful for players building a stock, not just a one-off buyer. Don't use it if you only have a handful of the item.
